About This Course

Project managers require expertise in procurement and contract management to resource their projects and manage those resources, be they complex goods and services or consultants and contractors. Learn how to navigate the procurement process from the requirements identification through delivery. Examine the essentials of both sides of procurement, from the buyer’s and from the seller’s perspective, preparing requests for proposal and proposal responses. Learn and apply core skills.

A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) is the Project Management Institute’s flagship publication and is a fundamental resource for effective project management in any industry. It is recommended that students purchase the Project Management Institute’s A Guide to the Project Management  Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) Seventh Edition. The PMBOK® textbook is required for anyone seeking their Project Management Essentials certificate (all seven courses).
