About This Course

This introductory course to our Project Management Essentials Certificate program provides a solid introduction to project management principles and best practices. Learn about the role of the project manager, the phases of a project, project process, and terms.

A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) is the Project Management Institute’s flagship publication and is a fundamental resource for effective project management in any industry. It is recommended that students purchase the Project Management Institute’s A Guide to the Project Management  Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) Seventh Edition. The PMBOK® textbook is required for anyone seeking their Project Management Essentials certificate (all seven courses).
