About This Course

It is essential to learn how to read, speak and comprehend the French language to succeed in a bilingual workplace. In this course, students develop basic level abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking French through active participation in a wide range of communication activities. Students explore grammatical rules and various tenses commonly used in French workplaces and are introduced to basic reading comprehension skills and strategies through learning assessments and activities. Students learn basic oral expression and comprehension using simple phrases that develop vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension in written and oral assessments.

This course consists of 12 classes held twice a week over a duration of 6 weeks. Classes will not be held on statutory or Ontario provincial holidays. In such instances, the course will be extended by one day at the end of the session.
