About This Course

Being able to communicate efficiently in French is a priceless asset in the bilingual workplace. In this advanced level course, students practice all four communication skills to improve their ability to express themselves in the past, present and future in simple and complex sentences on various topics from the workplace and current issues. They increase the level of complexity of their written and oral productions by practicing complex sentence structures and expressing and confronting their opinions on unfamiliar and complex topics from their work life and personal experiences. They build coherent argumentation to justify their opinions methodically, including hypotheses, probability, or certainty.

Prerequisites

There are four levels of proficiency in the French as a Second Language Program, and they have more than one section for additional practice. The levels are Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Proficient. Each level complements the other and builds upon previously introduced concepts and vocabulary.
