About This Course

French Language skills are key to professional and social success in a bilingual country like Canada. In this course, students describe daily activities and react to different situations in daily life using all four skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Through various communicative assessments and activities, students express their likes and dislikes in social and work-related contexts and relate past events and projects using simple past and future tenses.

Prerequisites

There are four levels of proficiency in the French as a Second Language Program, and they have more than one section for additional practice. Each level complements the other and builds upon previously introduced concepts and vocabulary.

Who Should Attend

Students who can construct simple sentences in the present tense but don’t know how to express ideas in the past or future. Students who can introduce themselves, ask and answer questions about personal details in the present tense only.
